Job Purpose:
- With the investments we’ve made and growth in the firm, now is the time to be at XY Capital and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to drive a new ETF trading strategy
- We seek a candidate with the experience and leadership in trading across the Asian and global markets
- This candidate will use their experience trading on our ETF trading desk and managing their own P&L
- This role will report to the CEO and will be a key member of the XY Capital staff as we continue to grow and scale.
Your Responsibilities:
- Trade on ETF trading desk and manage a dedicated P&L
- Actively trade ETF’s across various global markets
- Introduce new trading ideas and develop new trading models
- Collaborate with team of traders to synergize trading strategies
- Work with CEO to implement and test trading strategies
- Analyze trading performance and recommend improvements
- Help manage and coach growing team of traders
- Collaborate with developers to update and refine algorithms
- Ad hoc projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Math, Economics, or Computer Science preferred
- 3+ years of relevant work experience at a proprietary trading firm preferred
- Proven track record of performance in ETF trading
- Prior management experience is a plus
- Self-starter that can both lead and work independently
- Must be able to balance many tasks, be a strong decision maker, and maintain high ethical integrity
- Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
