Bloomberg Electronic Trading Solutions (ETS) trading platforms are supported with Enterprise solutions to provide end-to-end workflows. This way, clients can stage, monitor, trade, allocate and perform TCA on their trades from the Bloomberg Terminal for each asset class, whilst seamlessly interacting with their buy-side and sell-side Order Management Systems.

What’s the role?

The ETF sales role sits within the equity and listed product, electronic trading group. It is a key business development role for a strategically important part of the business. You would have coverage across Western Europe, working closely with a team of expert account managers, to drive the ETF strategy across primary and secondary markets.

The role will involve collaborating closely with colleagues across the electronic trading business and the broader Bloomberg enterprise sales, to identify relevant prospects and position our ETF Trading Solutions with senior stakeholders. You will have the goal of both bringing new businesses on board and supporting the expansion of existing engagements, with the goal of increasing flows across our trading platforms.

You will be expected to drive business through the education of clients while building communities through regular client engagements electronically, at their offices, at Bloomberg events and external conferences. You will be expected to also work closely with the Bloomberg marketing team to strategically build the visibility of the business and with the ETF electronic trading product teams to drive product development.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Develop a sound understanding of Bloomberg’s products, how they integrate with financial markets and have the ability to position our solutions to your clients
  • Collaborate with your clients to help determine gaps in their workflow to drive an increase their usage of the terminal and marquee products
  • Be a self-starter and own the coverage region including monitoring at-risk users to defend the Bloomberg business
  • Manage usage campaigns, both self-initiated to achieve business targets and management driven initiatives
  • Demonstrate a strong level of Bloomberg customer type knowledge, by understanding how that player type makes money, does their job, and utilizes technology
  • Be able to demonstrate functionality and workflows of applicable Bloomberg solutions that improve a specific customer type’s need
  • Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate, and address client needs
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives

You’ll need to have:

  • Familiarity with ETF’s, preferably with both creation and redemption and secondary trading workflows

A successful track record in a business development or revenue sales role.

  • Experience in dealing with Data Analysis
  • Demonstrated track record of both relationship management and client support
  • Knowledge of Electronic Trading, Execution Management Systems and Trading Connectivity and competitive landscape
  • Strong understanding of the impact of regulation, market structure and compliance on electronic trading
  • Familiarity with buy-side and sell-side trading workflows
  • The ability to travel on a regular basis to meet with clients in person
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Demonstrated cross team collaboration to execute on sales initiatives
