Job Purpose:
- The OppenheimerFunds Summer Internship Program targets rising seniors and graduate students entering their final semester/year of academic study.
- You will work on impactful projects while developing a robust understanding of asset management and enterprise strategy and objectives.
- Interns are paid a highly competitive hourly rate. The program begins on June 5th, 2018 and ends on August 17, 2018.
- You will support the creation of new ETF strategies through rigorous analysis and scenario testing.
- The successful candidate will have a strong interest in investment research & portfolio analytics, modern portfolio theory, and ETFs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist with idea generation for new ETF strategies
- Analyze Index Fund performance data and identify opportunities for scenario analysis on new products
- Execute attribution and performance reporting, peer group analysis and risk statistics across Index Funds
- Analyze competitive landscape of target client portfolios
- Gain exposure to various stages of client interaction and relationship management
- Provide support on ad-hoc projects
Skills and Qualifications:
- Rising senior or grad student entering final year of study
- Finance, Economics or business discipline major preferred
- Basic understanding of ETFs and financial markets
- Understanding of investment advisor relationships
- Strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working with technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
