Job purpose:

  • The ETF Product & Capital Markets Manager will help lead the development and building of Harbor’s ETF business with particular focus on the capital markets function
  • The primary responsibility will be leading the interactions and engagement with all firms in an ETF capital markets ecosystem: stock exchanges, lead market makers, authorized participants, iNAV agents, the custodial dealer/execution community and intermediary platforms
  • This role will be responsible for analyzing the primary and secondary markets and developing a deep understanding how the capital market participants trade the products and coordinate this information with investment teams on requests related to creation and redemptions of ETFs
  • This role will be critical in product development, product launch processes and ongoing product management functions, including ensuring strong execution and trading behavior
  • Finally, the role will also be critical in managing broker/dealer relationships and engagements with intermediaries, including banks and RIAs
  • Acting as a main point of contact for distribution teams for trading and liquidity related needs and provide execution guidance is a primary expectation of the role.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing the primary and secondary markets and developing a deep understanding how the capital market participants trade the products
  • Cultivate and manage relationships across the custodial dealing/execution desk community
  • Educate market participants on products, their valuation, construction and trading
  • Developing a repeatable process for engaging any sub-advisor partners on ETF products
  • Working directly with Distribution leaders on discussions with due diligence teams, clients and prospects about HCA ETFs operate and trade
  • Working with marketing leaders on ongoing training, development and collateral in support of ETFs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of progressive experience with ETFs products
  • Capital markets knowledge and experience, either from trading, modeling or designing strategies or products, or from supporting investment or product functions
  • Experience in product development and/or product management of ETFs
  • Experience working with exchanges, market makers, authorized participants, index providers, servicing/custodian firms, legal/regulatory entities
  • Experience across multiple asset classes highly preferred
  • Understanding of international securities markets, currencies, and their related market structure including trading, clearing and settlement
  • Experience working with Distribution and Marketing leaders
  • Experience speaking with clients, especially intermediary platforms, banks, RIAs and any research/gatekeeper function.
