Job Purpose:
- The RBC Global Asset Management Investment Solutions (GAM IS) Team develops, manages and supports a wide range of investment solutions for private clients globally through multiple investment channels
- This group is responsible for sales support and product communication to our Individual Investor Channels in Canada
- As an ETF Portfolio Analyst, you will be a member of the Investment Products Advisory Group
- Reporting to the Head of Business Development, ETFs, you will aggregate and disseminate information related to GAM ETF’s internally and externally to clients
- You’ll also support ETF sales by providing outreach and support to the Advisor Channel Sales team and our regional Vice Presidents throughout Canada.
Your Responsibilities:
- Create weekly ETF content for internal and external use
- Review and analyze industry data and trends in the marketplace
- Construct timely investment ideas and strategies using ETFs
- Contribute to ETF oriented commentary and thematic articles
- Build meaningful relationships with the Advisor Channel Sales team and their clients by assisting with ETF analysis and sales discussions
- Support a number of ETF subject matter experts in the field
- Perform quarterly attribution analysis and performance commentary on RBC GAM ETFs
- Participate in various ad hoc projects as required, related to expansion of the RBC ETF offering and asset gathering efforts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of investment strategies and capital markets
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Enrollment in or completion of the CFA program, or industry equivalent experience
- Exceptional analysis and communication skills, along with proven experience as a team player with the ability to establish relationships
- The ability to work independently in high pressure situations
- Thorough understanding of the retail brokerage and investment counselling industry
- Experience with Bloomberg and/or Morningstar Direct
- Bilingualism (English/French) an asset
- A passion for investment analysis and portfolio construction.
