Your Role

As EMEA ETF Product Governance specialist on our Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) team, you will play an important role in coordinating and overseeing product governance and process adherence for the EMEA ETF business including new product launches, ongoing product oversight and review, distributor oversight and business analytics to ensure rigorous compliance with both internal governance and external regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for:

  • New product launches: Support EMEA ETF product development efforts through production of supporting materials for Fund Boards (due diligence, business case, etc.) and internal governance processes. Ensure that new product launches follows a rigorous and well-documented process that incorporates all relevant regulatory and internal product governance requirements
  • Overall governance framework: Oversee the EMEA ETF businesses’ ongoing adherence to an overall product governance model and supporting policies (e.g. what we do, the frequency with which we do it, how it is documented, and how it is communicated to management). Framework should cover all aspects of product development, ongoing product oversight and review, and distribution. Ensure appropriate supporting materials (process documents, TORs) and documentation (minutes) are produced and reviewed as appropriate
  • Communicate with EMEA ETF Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and global product governance teams regarding evolving governance requirements (e.g. SFDR). Communicate requirements to EMEA ETF business heads (PSS, PSI, CAPM).
  • Review regulatory and operational incidents / errors / breaches with relevant Compliance teams and work with EMEA ETF business heads (PSS, PSI, CAPM) to address issues and find long-term solutions
  • Governance requirements of product initiatives outside of new launches: Ensure implementation of product-related initiatives adheres to the overall product governance model and is appropriately monitored, documented and reported to management.
  • Ensure that robust and comprehensive MI covering both business performance and governance considerations is produced and provided to key business stakeholders (management, fund Boards, etc) as required and consistent with regulators’ expectations.

The skills and experience you’ll bring

You will:

  • Have had experience in either a Product Governance or Compliance role, specifically focusing on UCITS, preferably ETFs
  • Have string knowledge of product development of UCITS funds, preferably ETFs
  • Experience working with CBI and/or other regulators (e.g. FCA, FINMA, AMF, BAFIN)
  • Detailed knowledge of UCITS / UCITS ETF regulatory requirements for EMEA with particular emphasis on FCA / CBI
  • Additional qualifications (e.g. CFA) highly valued
  • Proficiency in a second European language highly desirable
