Job Purpose:
- Reporting to the Director, Mutual Fund Product, the Summer Student is primarily responsible for supporting all members of the Mutual Fund and ETF Product Team
- This entails research, data gathering and analysis, product management and development support, and project support
- The summer is a busy time for the mutual fund business with many large, key initiatives being implemented in the Fall.
Your Responsibilities:
- Product, competitor, and industry research
- Assist in creation of marketing collateral or sales support collateral related to a fund, asset class or geography
- Summarize notes from meetings with portfolio managers to aid in the sales process
- Participate in cross-business teams to support the implementation of significant Product led initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of other strategic, regulatory and tactical business initiatives
- Works on special assignments as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Progress towards a post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
- Investment acumen and interest
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to learn quickly and simultaneously handle multiple tasks
- Professional and tactful in all dealings.
