Job Purpose: 

  • The FIAM Organization is seeking a sector and ETF specialist with demonstrated subject matter expertise in sector investments, mutual funds, packaged products and ETFs
  • The FIAM Sector and ETF Specialist will partner with the field wholesalers and relationship management team to identify large sector and ETF investment producers, engage in sales interactions and provide ongoing support to drive sector flows
  • Raise and retain assets in Fidelity’s Sector Mutual Fund and ETF product line up
  • Inform and Educate our clients, prospects and associates about Fidelity’s Sector Mutual Fund and ETF product line up
  • ** Location – The location on this role is flexible. This position can sit anywhere within this territory which covers from Maine to Virginia **.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Distribution and Relationship Management teams to identify large sector and ETF producers
  • Provide subject matter expertise on sector investments, mutual funds, and packaged products to sophisticated buyers at advisor firms; ability to explain the various sector investments
  • Support the Distribution and RM teams as a resource in the field; engaging in sales interactions, speaking at conferences and to industry gatekeepers and centers of influence
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of current economic and market conditions through monitoring of financial industry media
  • The sector and ETF consultant should be able to offer actionable insight and information on markets in order to establish oneself as a valued resource.

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or equivalent graduate degree a plus
  • 5+ years of sales or product experience with sector mutual funds, packaged products or ETFs required
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required
  • Maintains excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence decisions and direction across FIAM and in intercompany relationships
  • Must have in depth knowledge of Fidelity and/or competitive products
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are critical to success
  • Proven ability to successfully build and manage relationships with Advisors
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and utilize needs-based selling techniques and strategies
  • Track record of successful client interaction and follow-up are required
  • Ability to build internal partnerships and relationships in a team environment
  • Ability to travel 50%.
