Job Purpose:
- Based in the Midwest or Western United States, the Vice President, Model Portfolios will increase Fidelity’s model portfolio brand to enhance and drive sales
- Primary focus will be with TAMPs (Turnkey Asset Management Platforms), Fintech firms and Model Hub Providers in addition to coordinating Specialist Support for Fidelity Relationship Managers
- Secondary focus is a targeted financial advisor Core/Specialist Support.
Your Responsibilities:
- You will be executing on territory flow and engagement goals by focusing on TAMPs (Turnkey Asset Management Platforms), Digital Platforms, and Broker-Dealer/RIA customers on the Fidelity Custody and Clearing Solutions (FCCS) platform
- You will be managing the sales opportunity process from prospect identification and development through closing sales opportunities across 100 accounts across a large geography that may require frequent travel
- You will be strengthening overall territory penetration by developing and executing proactive, creative and ongoing contact initiatives within territory, including cross-selling opportunities
- You will be building territory market intelligence including segment and product trends internally to improve existing messaging while proactively acting as a catalyst to develop new client engagement approaches and solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Fidelity Asset Management portfolio construction techniques, underlying mutual funds and ETFs, and strategic and tactical asset allocation investment strategies
- Strong understanding of fixed income based investment strategies
- Comprehensive and ongoing understanding of the underlying IP that powers the Fidelity model suite
- Ability to analyze disparate sets of data and information in an effort to distill into usable insights
- Highly effective and consistent written and verbal communication capabilities
- Ability to successfully articulate detailed mechanics of investment process
- Successful track record of investment presentation creation and delivery
- Passion for financial markets, investment process and provision of effective investment solutions
- Comfort and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, with a frequent focus on gaining consensus across a broad spectrum of investment management, distribution, product management and senior management constituents
- Capability to balance resolve and temperament in response to pursuing opportunity through organizational structure
- Minimum 10 years investment related experience (either sales, relationship management, or product management)
- Bachelor’s degree – MBA and/or CFA (or progress towards) strongly preferred
- Strong experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Morningstar Direct preferred
- Extensive client presentation experience required
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required. Series 65 preferred.
