Role Description and Responsibilities

As our ETF operating platform continues to evolve into further scale and sophistication, we are offering a position in the EII APAC Product Team to strategize and implement changes in our APAC ETF range by engaging with internal and external partners in the region as well as globally. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about driving projects and championing changes in a high-energy diverse environment. We also expect this individual to be committed to excellence, be a team player and proactively create value for the broader project team and function. The role is based in Hong Kong.

Skillsets

To be success full in this role, you will need understanding of one or more areas described below on top of very strong project management skills and base knowledge and understanding of ETFs:

  • Capital markets and financial instruments
  • Trade lifecycle and global custody services
  • Fund accounting and tax for collective investment schemes
  • Service provider management
  • ETF ecosystems in APAC, including primary market/settlement systems
  • Legal and regulatory framework of ETFs in APAC
  • BlackRock’s functional areas and their roles, including but not limited Global Markets, Equity and Fixed Income Portfolio Management, Product Strategy, Fund Accounting, Onboarding and Technology.
  • Technology proficiency in one or more areas: Data model and data feed interactions, SQL, APIs and SWIFT
  • Operational risk management

Qualification

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement
  • 6-10 years of financial services experience, in asset management or investment banking
  • Ability to build and effectively maintain relationships with business leaders, corporate functions and external partners and providers
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and organizational skills, and keen attention to detail
  • Superb written and oral communication skills in English
