As Capital Markets Specialist, you will:

  • Manage relationships and communications with market maker/authorized participant community regarding pricing and trading of SPDR ETFs
  • Improve ETF market quality – leading to better execution quality for investors – by collaborating with ETF lead market makers, authorized participants, and internal stakeholders to drive enhancements to product structure and creation/redemption processes
  • Develop and enhance SPDR’s market quality monitoring technologies
  • Provide input for daily and weekly commentaries on market events and liquidity trends
  • Assist in projects and working groups, both internal and external, related to the development of new product and existing ETF product structure
  • Assist in our business development efforts with market makers, broker dealers, and exchanges – partner on increasing the use of SPDR products

Client Segment

  • Liquidity Providers and Authorized Participants
  • ETF Sales & Trading, Equity Portfolio Sales & Trading, FICC Sales & Trading, and where applicable, Equity Derivative Sales & Trading and Prime Brokerage

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of ETF sales, trading, or business development experience
  • Strong markets background, preferably experience with equity derivatives
  • Experience managing relationships and engaging with senior level executives
  • Experience managing projects across multiple teams and senior internal stakeholders
  • Very proficient with Bloomberg, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Aptitude to think and act globally, harmonizing global, regional and local objectives. A developed sense of judgment and the ability to balance business needs in an objective and practical way is critical
  • CFA or MBA preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to frame business issues and apply data analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate industry and product knowledge
  • Ability to build relationships within our team, across our organization, and with our clients
  • Strong aptitude for multi-tasking
  • Enthusiasm for the industry, a positive attitude, and a drive to succeed
  • You have strong ethics and integrity with a strong risk radar and dedicated approach to resolve issues
