Job Summary:
This position is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the ETF Trading Desk at Invesco. You will be part of a close knit team that is responsible for trading our suite of flagship funds that include: Global Equities, Equity Derivatives (Listed Futures & Options), Commodities & OTC Index Swaps. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for achieving best execution and interacting with key stakeholders to ensure we are providing the best possible investment experience for our fund holders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of senior staff, execute trades within SEC/SRO guidelines and in accordance with best execution
  • Trade multi-asset orders associated with index events, rebalances & reconstitutions, rolls and creation/redemptions using a variety of trading strategies, technologies and market venues in order to minimize market impact and reduce benchmark risk versus published benchmarks.
  • Maintain a close liaison with fund managers, serving in a consultative capacity to ensure there is constant flow of market and regulatory developments while providing ideas for efficient execution/implementation and the enhancement of the execution process.
  • Establish and maintain a range of market contacts, including brokers and market makers, while developing objective evaluation tools to critically measure quality of execution.
  • Monitor market conditions and key indicators to measure impact on price movements and volumes
  • Act as a liaison between the trading desk and supporting functions such as capital markets, investment operations, compliance, legal, etc to resolve issues that arise.
  • Manage trading related inquiries such as trade settlement issues or commission information.
  • Attend meetings, some of which may be after normal business hours, with brokers and other industry representatives for the purpose of developing appropriate industry contacts and relationships.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of developments within markets, regulations, and of other issues relevant to the effective transaction of business.
  • Undertake all relevant associated administration.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • 2+ years of related work experience in the Asset Management or Financial Services Industry
  • Prior trading experience or knowledge a plus
