Position Summary

The Traditional Investment Products (TIPs) Product Management team is responsible for supporting day to day functions for the TIPs Product Development teams across MSWM Financial Advisor-supported and E*TRADE self-directed platforms for all traditional investment products including Domestic and Offshore Mutual Funds, ETFs, UITs, CEFs, Money Markets and 529 College Savings Plans. The group is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the team as an ETF/Mutual Fund Generalist to support the Product Development teams, perform data analytics and lead a series of tactical and strategic initiatives for ETFs/Mutual Funds and related projects.  The position entails leading the management cycle of new and existing products and services focusing on ETFs/Mutual Funds and the other traditional investment products. The product management consists of supporting all stages from inception through launch including developing compelling business cases, comprehensive business requirements, rollout strategies, performing various share class analysis and conversion efforts. The position also requires performing analytics on funds’ pricing structure and economic arrangements. Partner engagement with fund issuers regarding payments, billing enhancements and various tactical and strategic projects.

 Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • A subject matter expert (SME) on ETFs and industry related topics.
  • Support day to day functions for Traditional Investment Products (TIPs) and Product Development teams including responding to FA inquiries and requests across MSWM Financial Advisor-supported and E*TRADE self-directed (E*TRADE) platforms.
  • Partner with Product Development and Operations on implementation of fund setups, process changes, FA notifications, service portals, etc.
  • Conduct extensive data analysis and execute on projects related to economic arrangements with third parties, billing terms review and billing enhancements.
  • Provide business analyst support to strategic and tactical projects including business requirements, project management, coordination and escalation, quality assurance testing and the development of communication strategies.
  • Participate in various product review and technology/platform committees acting as an SME for the products.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of policies and procedures, maintaining and enhancing controls, interacting with internal audit and product risk, and mitigating risks.
  • Responsible for partner engagement, including support of the funds, responding to inquiries from Fund Issuers, contract negotiations, serve as the point of contact for asset managers on prospectus reviews, product changes, share class conversions, and MF to ETF conversions.
  • Respond to FA inquiries related to product availability, platform related issues and product information.



  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with ETFs and industry related topics.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to conduct complex analysis related to fund pricing, economics, and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (functions, formulas and macros).
  • Prior experience managing strategic initiatives and experience in any traditional investment products.
  • Strong judgment in prioritizing, evaluating and sharing information as appropriate, and determining issues requiring escalation.
  • Ability to work independently, often on multiple assignments concurrently, while adhering to deadlines and the group’s standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and team skills including ability to work with third party investment managers and Financial Advisors.
