Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate firm’s value proposition, details of firm’s products and services, and research insights – particularly in the Thematic Suite – to financial services professionals via conference calls, webinars, in-person meetings, presentations to large groups, and more
  • Respond to specific client questions about ETF methodology, performance attribution, fundamentals, product comparisons, and macro and/or micro drivers
  • Monitor, analyze, and synthesize recent news, research, earnings, and economic data for a variety of themes, countries, industries, and companies relevant to our Thematic Suite of funds
  • Develop deep understanding of and ability to explain the ETF structure, mechanics, liquidity, and the broader competitive landscape
  • Customize research and presentations for specific clients, including conducting product comparisons, expanding upon research analysts’ initial research or contextualizing it with the latest news and events, and updating charts and data points
  • Conduct internal product trainings for new employees
  • Exemplify Global X’s culture of problem solving, creative thinking, collaboration, and integrity

Required Skills:

  • Superb communications abilities, including writing clearly and concisely in a business setting, speaking with confidence and intonation during live presentations, and supporting key points with data analysis and visualization
  • Extremely attentive to detail
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in: Excel (index match, vlookup, cell and chart formatting, sheet linking, pivot tables/charts) and PowerPoint (formatting, summarizing, repurposing/catering content for slides)
  • Passion for learning and growth, both in terms of knowledge base and technical abilities
  • Adept at synthesizing and concisely communicating nuanced topics to experienced investment professionals
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining personal initiative
  • Knowledge of and deep passion for financial markets and familiarity with thematic investing a plus
  • Motivated self-starter and consummate teammate

Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience working in asset management (research, portfolio management, or sales-related functions), sell-side research, sales & trading, investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting
  • Intention of pursuing or progress towards CFA designation is helpful but not mandatory

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with specialized financial software (Bloomberg, Factset, Morningstar, etc.), including excel APIs
  • Series 7 & 63 (License will be required within first few months of start date. If candidate does not already have licenses, the firm will support exam prep.)
  • Full professional proficiency in a foreign language is a major plus (Spanish, Mandarin, Hebrew, Korean, or Japanese, in particular)
