SPDR ETF UK Sales

Job Purpose and Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive Net New Assets through executing a detailed client strategy to maintain and build your book of existing and prospective clients
  • Identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations and needs and be an authority in your client segment (s)
  • Think creatively around market themes and trends and clearly communicate SPDR ETF investment ideas and research to clients and prospects
  • Execute sales campaigns and dynamically involve clients on major SPDR initiatives (seminars, events, surveys)
  • Harness the expertise of our internal specialists (e.g. capital markets, research, product development) in order to deliver an entrepreneurial consultative sale to clients
  • Partner closely with the PR and Marketing Team to design, elaborate and execute thought-provoking strategies
  • Contribute to product development ideas and provide insightful and innovative feedback
  • Build strong, positive relationships with integral internal groups
  • Bring live feedback on competitor dynamics, industry trends and make recommendations to internal partner groups.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced in sales in the financial markets for over five years
  • Extensive client relationships
  • Demonstrable track record of sales
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan
  • Strong markets knowledge and related technical understanding
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A good problem solver and trouble-shooter, with the ability to identify and analyse issues with the creativity and energy to solve them
  • Persuasive and articulate in presenting complex ideas, simply
  • Strong business instincts, good judgment and creative mindset
  • Dedication to risk, compliance, governance and regulation policies and procedures
  • Previous experience with ETFs is desirable, but not necessary

Education & Experience:

  • Has operated at a senior level in strategic sales, marketing and client management for an extended period of time
  • Strong Client Facing and/or Investment experience in the asset management industry
  • Confirmed existing relationships with key client base
  • Confirmed ability to develop and execute successfully on strategic sales plans
  • Degree qualified or equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.
