Job Purpose:

  • SPDR market penetration and market share
  • Become part of a  dedicated and highly motivated team in the fast growing German ETF market
  • Work collaboratively with the German  SPDR Team and the overall German SSGA Client Facing Team to promote SDPR ETFs across all channels
  • Work closely with the EMEA and local PR and Marketing team to execute on the overall distribution strategy
  • Support the implementation of sales strategies and marketing initiatives to support new business and organic revenue growth
  • Remain abreast of industry and product trends (includes competitor analysis) and ensure SPDR is positioned to take advantage of local market opportunities
  • Identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations and needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Engage existing clients and prospects on a regular basis to promote the SPDR ETF product range and research capabilities
  • Proactively and independently manage your own client portfolio and support the rest of the team in managing theirs
  • Help position SPDR ETFs as a trusted partner around investment decisions
  • Create and maintain a book of business with key SPDR  clients in Germany
  • Involve clients in the major SPDR initiatives (seminars, roadshows, events, surveys).

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Client facing and/or investment management experience in the financial services industry
  • Experienced personal and sales skills in developing relationships across multiple products, asset classes and regions
  • University degree in a financial or analytical discipline preferred
  • Interested in and to sell ETFs
  • Ideally strong existing client relationships in the German ETF market
  • Strong business instincts, sound judgment and creative mindset
  • Advanced communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to develop and execute successfully on strategic sales plans
  • Demonstrated ability to provide fresh insights and new ways of approaching issues based on past experiences, a global perspective and well-articulated facts and reasoning
  • Proven commitment to risk, compliance, governance and regulation policies and procedures
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks and/or issues.
