Our Global Fiduciary Platform department is seeking a Junior Specialist – Finance and Accounting to join the Product Support Team based in Stamford, CT. The team is responsible for the monthly accounting close, management reporting, expenses and budgeting as well as the validation and payment of all intermediary payments.

Job Purpose:

  • This position requires regular interaction with the various intermediaries and several internal groups including; Finance, Business Development Team, Legal, Affiliates, Technology and Dealer Services

Your Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting and related analysis for both corporate and mutual fund expenses related to money market funds, long term funds and ETFs
  • Fulfillment of month-end close process, within corporate deadlines, related to intermediary & dealer payments and accruals related to ETFs
  • Partner with technology team to implement enhancements or changes to a month-end database, as necessary
  • Perform monthly financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations as well as review and research of invoice discrepancies
  • Collaborate with Legal and Transfer Agent teams for contract review and implementation of fees in Transfer Agent system
  • Provide support to several Affiliates and provide monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Assist Product Support team with monthly metrics reporting, provided to senior management
  • Collaborate with various teams within GFP on ad hoc projects, as needed
  • Assist with the preparation, review and administration of the ETF budgets
  • Invoice validation, review and coding in Workday

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or business-related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Corporate Accounting/Finance, Mutual Fund Accounting or Mutual Fund Expenses and Budgeting
  • Good MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Great analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Business Objects and Database experience a plus.
