Role profile:

The role sits within the Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) team responsible for product development and product management, across both the ETP listing and trading services. The Senior Manager will engage externally across the industry to promote and develop LSEG’s ETP capabilities. They will also work internally across the wider Group to help drive ETP growth and enhancements and manage significant ETP regulatory impacts, both current and anticipated.

This is a senior role within Equities Trading and LSEG Markets more widely. ETPs are a key part of the growth strategy and with a reporting line directly to the Head of Equities Trading Product, the role will give the candidate regular exposure to the LSEG Markets Leadership Team. Given the scope of the role covering Primary and Secondary markets, beyond the direct colleagues in Equities Trading, the candidate will need to liaise carefully with colleagues including those in Primary Markets Regulation, Admissions, Market Operations, Technical Account Managers, Market Surveillance, Government Relations, Communications and Marketing.

The role will be broad in focus and the candidate will need to demonstrate leadership traits in playing a central role to develop the broader ETP team.  Being knowledgeable and proficient across the ETP ecosystem will therefore be a key requirement. Working very closely with the ETP team and wider Equities Trading team, the candidate will ensure that new hires are developed and mentored effectively, and that practices and procedures are developed and maintained that align with standard process on knowledge retention and knowledge management, alongside facilitating ETP colleagues’ learning and development.

Key operational skills will need to be developed across the team including, for example, those related to the Product Development Life Cycle processes and market management expertise. Close collaboration and a partnership approach with Equities Trading and other relevant customer groups across the Markets division will also be expected, including close alignment on sales and account management efforts in order to maximise the development and commercialisation of the product offering.

Specific tasks will include defining and developing future LSEG markets trading service enhancements and ensuring ETP revenue growth alongside related client relationship and client service management.  An ability and willingness to collaborate across the wider LSEG Group including Data & Analytics and Post Trade divisions will be necessary and to this end, a detailed knowledge of the wider LSEG Capital Markets footprint as well as a broader Group understanding will be necessary or will need to be acquired.

Enter the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage Exchange Traded Product (ETP) listing & trading service product development and product management
  • Play a leading role in the design, planning and execution of ETP listing and trading service developments to ensure it remains a competitive offering, including enhancing our data analytics to better inform our competitive position, client engagement and growth strategy
  • Play a key role in utilisation, embedding and evolution of the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) within the Markets division, including taking joint responsibility for new product development, delivery into production and on-going product management for relevant products
  • Play a central role in the design and implementation of our future client service model, especially as it pertains to Member Portal, Issuer Portal and other related initiatives
  • Manage ETP regulatory impacts, both current and anticipated and proactively seek product enhancement opportunities which may present themselves as a result
  • Manage key trading member and key issuer relationships
  • Collaborate with Markets colleagues to promote and develop various products
  • Proactively support non-ETPs Markets initiatives with a focus on improving collaboration and developing innovation workstreams

  • Extensive experience of Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) across both the primary and secondary markets
  • Demonstrable significant experience and success in ETP product development and management
  • Proven advanced technical capabilities across a range of existing or prior product development initiatives and product management efforts
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to play a key role in best practices in product development
  • A focus on delivering against objectives including direct communication on the delivery of key initiatives and related KPIs
  • Self-motivating and resilient with the ability to work independently as well as within a wider team
  • Ability to lead and develop a team and to demonstrate excellent people skills both internally and externally
  • Ability to develop cases for new products / services and provide input to the Capital Markets leadership team regarding the strategy for assigned product areas
  • Work closely with wider Capital Markets colleagues across various businesses in determining product development requirements
  • Drive enhanced focus on data analytics to improve our customer engagement efforts and deepen our understanding of the competitive landscape, in partnership with data and pricing colleagues
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement strategic and tactical business development plans
