Job Purpose:

  • Lead marketing contact for North American Equities, including TRF and ETFs; and US OptionsNasdaq Global Marketing is looking for a dynamic, organized, dependable team player to join our team to support the Global Trading and Market Services (GTMS) business
  • The Marketing Specialist will report to the Head of Marketing for Global Trading and Market Services and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to support the Global Trading and Market Services business goals
  • The Marketing Specialist will work closely with design services, the web team, sales, and other internal departments to take projects from start to finish, and ensure that the team’s objectives are met

Your Responsibilities:

  • Marketing strategy – Develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs (through direct and e-mail marketing, print and online advertising, web etc) that drive demand for Nasdaq trading venues and services. Monitor marketing campaign metrics and implement course corrections as necessary
  • Social media strategy – Develop plans and campaigns to engage clients on social media channels and monitor/report on trends
  • Content marketing & thought leadership – Create various forms of content to help position Nasdaq a thought leader including: white papers, reports, infographics, email campaigns, blogs, etc. Analyze and measure the performance to maximize reach and effectiveness
  • Event strategy & management– Works closely with business areas to support event strategy and production and optimize opportunities at conferences and events
  • Product marketing – Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Nasdaq and its platforms, products and services in the market. This includes planning the launch of new products and releases and managing the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Sales enablement – Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
  • Marketing communications – Produce communication materials including web and advertising copy, sales collateral, letters, presentations, and proposals
  • Vendor management– Manages relationships with agencies, premium vendors, event sponsors and others to ensure their work meets the organization’s requirements, deadlines, and budget
  • Crisis communications– Assist in coordination and creation of communications and sales support in the event of a crisis or technology issue

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a marketing position, preferably in the financial industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with creative marketing professionals, product managers, sales executives and senior business leaders, including the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken, including business writing)
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently with sound decision-making abilities. Ability to balance competing client needs by multi-tasking on projects
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with marketing automation (Eloqua preferred), a plus
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or English
  • Experience Required: At least 8 years.
