Job Purpose:

  • Segment Marketing is a component of the Global Sales & Marketing department of the FTSE Russell/ Information Services business unit and works in conjunction with LSEG communications and marketing
  • Supporting business growth with key client segments in EMEA Enhancing the brand equity of FTSE Russell globally
  • Lead global lead generation/reputational marketing campaigns targeting our key client segments
  • Reporting into the Global Head of Product Marketing, FTSE Russell (Interim)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Global Head of Product Marketing and operating within a matrix structure, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with appropriate internal teams and key index product partners to identify appropriate marketing strategies and activities
  • They will oversee the design and successful execution of EMEA marketing campaigns which meet revenue and reputation objectives and result in delivering qualified leads to Sales
  • Responsible for all marketing campaign activity aimed at key EMEA client segments, including but not limited to: annual and ongoing campaign planning, execution and optimization; budget planning and oversight; marketing content creation, digital advertising agency management, sales support content creation, PR and social media coordination, joint marketing events, webinars, media briefings, third-party conference management (with local events team), roadshows and video scripting and production.
  • Lead the design, execution and measurement of:
    • Campaigns: Integrated Sales & Marketing campaigns around our key themes. Segment Marketers work with Product Marketing to develop segment-relevant materials and to execute via email, digital, advertising, event, market research and other marketing tactics.
    • Topical Marketing: Segment Marketers are responsible for monitoring market news and industry developments for opportunities to engage their respective segments with our products and thought leadership.
    • Event Marketing: Working closely with SMEs and Sales, Segment Marketers leverage segment-focused conferences to increase engagement with their client segment and amplify our product messages.
    • Sales Segment Strategy & Support: Working with Marketing Strategy, use client data insights and digital marketing technologies to help plan and target clients and prospects more effectively. Develop Sales collateral and digital tools for the segment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable years of marketing experience in a B2B environment (indexation, exchanges, fund management, ETFs, wire house, brokerage or investment banking an advantage)
  • Working knowledge of index strategies, product offerings and market place
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Excellent relationship management, writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the full marketing mix
  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • Delivery and client focus is essential; a healthy sense of urgency is critical to this role
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and coordinate across various teams in various time zones
  • Flexible and able to respond to rapid changes
  • Creative self starter able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the confidence to interact with senior management internally and within clients.
