Job Purpose: 

  • We are looking for an AVP – SEO/SEM Specialist is responsible for supporting Search Engine Marketing campaigns for SSGA Global Web properties for the ETF and Institutional businesses
  • The candidate will be responsible for analyzing existing campaigns and providing recommendations for content strategy, on-page SEO, inbound strategy and paid search
  • The ideal candidate will be passionate about how search can be best leveraged to drive organizational growth and experienced and knowledgeable in Search Engine Marketing
  • You will work with the regional Digital Experience leaders to drive planning, implementing and managing our SEO/SEM strategy and partnering with agencies to execute our SEO/SEM strategy.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, develop and implement our SEO/SEM strategy in partnership with Digital Experience leadership
  • Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization providing measurable ROI to the business
  • Identify key SEO/SEM KPIs and monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs against performance metrics by preparing and present reports regularly
  • Provide advanced analysis and reporting on existing/future SEO and paid search campaigns
  • Monitor diagnostic tools for site errors, enhancements and Search Visibility status
  • Discover competitive gaps, and provide recommendations to improve
  • Perform keyword research and mapping documents for SSGA Web properties
  • Provide recommendations for SEO on-page elements and content/inbound strategy
  • Monitor paid search campaigns on Google and Bing, and provide analysis/recommendations
  • Align Organic and Paid Search strategies to maximize Search Engine coverage and efficiency
  • Monitor industry news, trends, and shifts to align with evolving Search Engine Marketing strategies
  • Communicate with the wider marketing team to align and improve over-arching digital strategy and work with web developers and marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Five to seven years of experience as Search Engine Marketing Specialist or similar role
  • Five plus years of experience with planning and implementing a successful SEO/SEM strategy
  • Proven success in SEO
  • Three to five years of experience web analytics, marketing, and business development
  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing metrics
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with common Adobe Analytics (Site Catalyst), Tableau, Adobe Experience Cloud and marketing data warehouse platforms
  • Experience with common keyword research tools (Google Keyword Planner) and SEO Clarity preferred
  • BS/BA degree required
  • This position is based in Boston or London. Some travel may be required.
