Job Purpose:
- Product Managers serve as an advocate for their assigned strategies across multiple distribution channels, recognized as “go-to” product experts across the organization
- They support the product line through a broad range of investment, marketing and sales-related responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Providing investment updates and analyses, working closely with the Investment Management teams, detailing investment style/process, portfolio strategy and recent performance
- Researching and communicating the effect of external factors – such as company-specific, market or economic developments – on their assigned strategies to internal and external audiences
- Positioning and differentiating assigned products within the product line and relative to leading peers
- Conducting ongoing competitive analysis
- Researching industry trends to identify products to promote, enhance, rationalize, and launch
- Influence positioning, pricing, and product enhancement across the fund and ETF platforms
- Proactively drive the growth and retention efforts for assigned products helping to promote funds and ETFs across channels
- Responding to product inquiries primarily from distribution partners, as well as business partners across the organization
- Working closely with the marketing team to develop product support materials and sales ideas
- Providing content in the development of presentations, investment insight articles, timely product ideas and other marketing materials
- Ensuring that the investment stories for assigned products are presented consistently and that the products are properly positioned across all customer touchpoints.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of investment-related experience. Prior Product Management, Investment Management or Research experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required; MBA and/or CFA a plus
- Strong investment industry knowledge
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team objectives
- Strong written, analytical and presentation skills. Attention to detail a must
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on a timely basis
- Strong PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Proficiency with industry tools, such as Lipper, Morningstar, Strategic Insights, FactSet, etc. a plus.
