Overall Purpose of the Job:

  • The marketing team is a core strategic partner within the business line, reporting directly to the head of the business line.  Marketing is responsible for developing, delivering and measuring the marketing strategy plan for the business line as well as playing a central role to achieving its sales objectives.
  • A key aspect in the successful delivery of the plan is the development of high quality product content that supports the sales efforts and the promotion of the ETF, Indexing & Smart Beta range.
    The individual will be responsible for writing and editing content as required with a specific focus on transforming complex or technical product details and market stories into simple, concise takeways.
    The position implies building and maintaining strong relationships with product experts, portfolio managers, capital markets and sales team to understand products key strengths and clients challenges.
  • The content should deliver business line specific insights, investment ideas and value-add across a range of channels for our clients worldwide.
  • The position will be based in London and reports to the co-head of Content Marketing for ETF, Indexing & Smart Beta that is based in Paris.
  • Expected start date 01/03/2021

Main Accountabilities:

  • Support the co-head of Content Marketing for ETF, Indexing & Smart Beta in implementing the business line content strategy.
  • Deliver content across a range of asset classes including both Equities and Fixed Income as well as other cross asset topics like Factor Investing, ESG and Thematics
  • Create innovative and engaging content to support new product launches and to promote existing funds: presentations, flyer, brochures, emailing, pitchbooks, web content….
  • Develop relevant and impactful marketing messages on our product ranges focusing on Key selling points, competitive advantages, but also range consistency, readability of the offer, clarity of positioning
  • Maintain key marketing materials up to date by ensuring all marketing content is appropriate (reliable data and relevant messages)
  • Develop tactical marketing pushes based on multiple sources of information such as financial market events, ETF flow trends and research
  • Maintain regular market related publications in line with Amundi research market views (Weekly market update, Monthly asset allocation ideas, Quarterly outlook, etc) and develop additional key insight to help clients to apprehend the evolution of the markets
  • Monitor closely competitors campaigns, product messaging
  • Develop adhoc product content for press enquiries, events and webinars
  • Develop strong relationships with sales teams and other departments such as product engineering, capital markets, digital & portfolio managers in order to identify content opportunities.
  • Work with Amundi research team to align market led marketing publications to Amundi research team convictions
  • The role holder will adhere to FCA rules and principles and the Firm’s policies and procedures.

Candidate criteria:

  • Minimal education level
  • Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
  • Academic qualification / Speciality
  • Business school/ University level degree required

Required skills:

  • Extensive experience and held a senior position working in product or content marketing, product specialist or ETF strategist roles within an asset management company
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage simultaneously longer-term strategic assignments and immediate needs to produce high-quality results in a timely manner
  • Excellent writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to write for different audiences and media
  • Strong understanding of Financial Markets and products
  • Flexible, fast learner with a high degree of initiative
  • Extremely resourceful and works well within a team environment
  • Critical and creative thinker
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and coordinate across various teams in various time zones
  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry rules, guidelines, and standards
  • Fluent Written and Spoken English. Fluency in another European language is useful, French is a plus
