Job Purpose:

  • The Portfolio Advisory Associate’s primary focus is to support the Portfolio Advisory Specialists and Business Development professionals with an emphasis on analytics and data management

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support Portfolio Advisory Specialists by performing customized risk and portfolio analytics for retail financial advisors and home offices
  • Synthesize pertinent findings and research to arrive at portfolio recommendations
  • Examine asset allocation frameworks and recommend portfolio changes
  • Support Portfolio Advisory Business Development by ensuring proper follow-up execution and by sourcing client trades in Invesco products (MF, ETF, SMA, etc.)
  • Lead additional data management aggregation efforts, partner with other internal constituents to execute data-related projects
  • Manage ad-hoc investment and data analytics projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of applicable experience in investment management industry with practical exposure in evaluating business strategy and performance, data analytics, financial planning and analysis, sales finance and reporting required
  • Team player
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people’s opinions
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently
  • Basic understanding of the capital markets and asset allocation concepts
  • Proactive and forward thinking with strong organizational skills and ability to adapt
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • Ability to extract and analyze data relating to financial and business issues
  • Solid knowledge of mutual fund and ETF products and structures
  • Ability to influence others, develop effective inter-departmental business relationships and contribute to significant projects involving colleagues within US Retail Sales and other Invesco departments
  • Innovative thinker with tenacity to focus on continuous process improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast paced business environment and manage numerous projects and priorities concurrently while meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience with salesforce.com preferred.
