Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain differentiated and engaging thought leadership on options strategies for our research library (www.globalxetfs.com/research), across mediums that include written text, data visualization, presentation slides, videos, and more
  • Monitor, analyze, and synthesize recent news, financial and academic research, and economic data relevant to our options strategies
  • Develop educational content to help investors understand options strategies, the mechanics of options-based funds, and the tax implications of such strategies
  • Assist investors with how to use various option strategies both tactically and strategically in a diversified portfolio
  • Collaborate with the Product Team to review the exposure, index methodologies and competitive positioning of existing options-based ETFs, as well as identify and help develop potential new product opportunities
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc research for internal and external stakeholders on various topics relevant to our ETFs and/or the ETF industry
  • Respond to client questions about ETF methodology, performance attribution, fundamentals, and macro-drivers
  • Communicate firm’s value proposition, details of firm’s products and services, and market insights to financial services professionals, clients, and investors, with varying levels of investing acumen and subject matter expertise via conferences, conference calls, webinars, in-person meetings, presentations to large groups, and more
  • Exemplify Global X’s culture of problem solving, creative thinking, collaboration, and integrity

Required Skills:

  • Direct experience with options, index providers, and/or other financial derivatives
  • Advanced communication skills, including demonstrated abilities in writing, data analysis and visualization, as well as verbal presentations in both virtual and in-person environments
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in: Excel (index match, vlookup, cell and chart formatting, dynamic formulas, sheet linking, VBA, pivot tables/charts) and PowerPoint
  • Passion/want for learning and growth, both in terms of knowledge base and technical abilities
  • Adept at synthesizing and concisely communicating nuanced topics to senior leadership, investment professionals, and investors across all levels of investing/conceptual acumen
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining personal initiative
  • Knowledge of and deep passion for financial markets, with a particular focus on options
  • Attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter and consummate teammate

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in sales & trading, investment research, asset management, investment banking, or management consulting
  • Intention of pursuing or progress towards CFA designation is helpful but not mandatory

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with specialized financial software (Bloomberg, Factset, etc.), including excel APIs
  • Series 7/63 (license will be required within first few months of start date)
