Job Purpose:
- As Legal Counsel on our EMEA Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) team, you will have legal responsibility for the ETF Ireland-domiciled funds, including drafting, reviewing and updating prospectuses, KIID documentation and funds agreements.
Your Responsibilities:
- Advising the EMEA ETF team on structuring and other capital market issues relating to the creation, operation and distribution of ETF products
- Supporting the wider EMEA and Global Legal team on a variety of issues relating to the development, operation and distribution of the ETFs
- Participating in cross-departmental projects and key regulatory initiatives
- Liaising with other departments and external counsel
- Ensuring consistency of approach between product ranges and adequate coordination, for implementation as well as with other members of the Invesco Legal group
- Identifying and advising on the effective management of legal risk to the Invesco EMEA business and implementing, coordinating and managing commensurate internal controls to achieve these outcomes
- Advising on regulatory developments affecting the Invesco ETF business and funds managed by Invesco.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Have experience of working in a similar role, ideally from a broad based legal background with experience in capital markets (including listing and brokerage)
- Be very comfortable with providing legal advice for ETF funds and partnering with stakeholders
- Have funds/ asset management experience
- Prove very strong knowledge of ETF regulations and UCITS regulations
- Thrive on managing projects with your exceptional organization and analytical skills, an eye for detail and a talent for solving problems
- Enjoy building trusted internal partners and external agency relationships as a collaborative communicator and teammate
- Fluent in German, French, Italian, Spanish would be an advantage.
