Job Purpose:
- Within a fast-paced environment you will support the IT department and the Traders in their day to day operations in relation to hardware / software and other ad hoc IT issues
- You will be the person who is up to date with all the latest technology and knows how to get it in creative ways.
Your Responsibilities:
- First level IT support (server, workstations, platforms)
- Install Configure and Maintain Linux computers / Operating Systems
- Assembling, Installation, repair and troubleshooting of PC s, Laptops
- Configuration and troubleshooting of printers and other peripherals
- Stay updated with the newest technologies available, assess and advise on new technologies and introduce new technology into the trading environment
- Support the IT team with any ad hoc activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A diploma in IT / Computing from an institute of Technical Education or Polytechnic
- Experience (through work or hobbies) with IT Technology, especially with Linux systems
- Great interest in IT and everything that involves IT
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Communicative and outgoing personality
- Strong Communication Skills.
