Job Purpose:

  • As an Index/ETF Specialist, your primary focus is creating awareness and driving sales into innovative solutions at Fidelity to meet investment professionals short and long term needs.
  • Secondarily you will play a critical role on providing subject matter expertise in the area of index mutual funds and ETF products to investment professionals.
  • The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast paced, high energy culture of sales excellence that promotes teamwork, competitiveness, accountability and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving financial, quality and activity goals in your territory
  • Pioneering a new focus on a growing part of the FIAM organization with ETF and Index products.
  • Working as a part of a team in a high paced, energetic sales environment
  • Developing communication and presentation skills to demonstrate and deliver Fidelity investment capabilities and solutions
  • Proactively contacting prospective and existing clients to educate them about Fidelity’s products (>75% of their time on index investments and ETFs), guiding clients through a sales process to uncover needs, and offering product line to fulfill those appropriate needs
  • Partnering with field consultant and field wholesalers to drive index mutual funds and ETF flows
  • Working with various internal partners that support your business to provide top-notch service to our financial advisors
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external rules, policies, and procedures as well as regulatory requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Requires 2+ years sales experience within the financial services industry; mutual fund concentration, packaged product and ETF experience
  • High energy, solutions oriented with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of current market conditions (i.e. tactical and secular trends)
  • Demonstrates the understanding of different asset classes and how they relate to and interact with each other in various, current market conditions
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of ETF and index products.
  • Familiarity of the general mutual fund competitive landscape
  • Series 7 and 63 securities license.
