Job Purpose:

  • The Business Architecture team focuses on strategic index platform enhancements, infrastructures and process optimizations and implements new innovative concepts
  • As part of our team, you will be actively involved in both: our exciting daily business and challenging strategic projects
  • Duration: 3-6 months (internship) / 6-12 months (student assistant) / Start: immediately / Working hours (per week): 39 hours (internship) / 19 hours (student assistant)

Your Responsibilities:

  • As an Intern – Stoxx Ltd. – Business Architecture you will have an outstanding opportunity to gain insights into our company’s various fields of activities. Stoxx Ltd. bundles the index business of Deutsche Börse and calculates own indices
  • Customers use these indices as market indicators and yardsticks in the measurement of the performance of investment products and/or portfolios
  • In addition, they serve as underlying derivatives and structured products, e.g. for futures and options as well as index funds, leveraged products and certificates
  • Assistance in test developments and test executions for our index calculation platformProviding active support in the daily business (e.g. implementation of indices)Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses (market data, etc.)
  • Gathering and cleansing of dataCreating and editing product information and system documentationsPreparing reports and presentations etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Students must be enrolled in an officially recognized academic program during their internship; preferably in mathematics, economics, finance or computer science
  • Minimum of two successfully completed semesters of undergraduate studies
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional German skills are a plus
  • Knowledge of data bases, basic knowledge of programming languages and experience with data vendores (Reuters, Bloomberg) are considered as a plus
  • Affinity for IT and good mathematical skillsDiligent, independent and analytical approach to work
  • A high level of interest and a deep understanding of the stock exchange and the financial market data business make you the ideal candidate
  • A competent handling of MS-Office applications
