Job Purpose: 

  • The role is to provide top tier client service whilst ensuring the business is supported in a controlled environment
  • Delta 1 is a high growth area, with Volumes and Revenues growing rapidly over the past 3 years and the business is targeted to triple in size in the next 3 years
  • To accommodate Middle Office Client support is expanding in order to cope with the additional volume
  • The team predominantly supports the Equity Swaps desk
  • The purpose of the role is to provide first class client service to equity swap priority clients building out the current client service model to be more client focused within the Equity Swaps arena
  • The role will be primarily supporting Portfolio Swaps, Equity CFD and Single Stock Total Return Swaps
  • However as the D1 business trades all asset classes the candidate will get exposure to Custom Baskets/Indices, Listed Futures, ETFs, Structures Notes and Certificates and P Certs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Acting as single point of contact to D1 top tier priority clients, where they would be expected to build a good relationship by which they can add real value when dealing with any client issue
  • Face off to key stakeholders such Delta 1 Trading desk, financial control and settlements by supporting all BAU functions and ad hoc requests
  • Process Swap Trade allocations in an accurately and timely manner
  • Perform Key Middle Office Reconciliations and Controls in order to ensure that the business is being supported in a controlled environment
  • Perform root cause analysis and process improve current trade front to back flow in order to achieve economies of scale.

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Previous experience in client facing or trade/desk support role
  • Previous experience of supporting a demanding trading desk – ideally Equity Swaps (preferred)
  • Experience in movement of functions between teams in different locations
  • Proven record of delivering results and working to strict deadlines
  • Familiarity with impacts on risk and P/L
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge is essential
  • Strong communicator (articulate and literate)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic, whilst being able to use initiative when faced with and issue and be willing to approach different people until they get the right answer
  • Strong control and risk awareness background critical
  • Ability to work under pressure essential
  • Strong sense of accountability and responsibility for owning issues through to resolution needed
  • Desire to improve processes and implement STP essential
  • A flexible and hard-working approach is required as is the need to be self-motivated and driven
  • A good team member who proactively builds positive working relationships
  • Ability to perform well in a dynamic, fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to recognize high risk situations.
