Your team responsibilities:

The UK Index Client Coverage team is responsible for driving the growth of our Index buy-side business and leading engagement with asset management, wealth management and private banking clients in the UK and Ireland. The team’s focus comprises the management and growth of existing client relationships as well as the expansion into new accounts. We follow a consultative sales approach and seek to gain a deep understanding of our clients’ investment processes, so that we can add value through our Index solutions across the different facets of the investment process. Team members occupy highly visible roles in a targeted, sales-driven environment and are involved in all aspects of sales and account management.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Engage with range of clients in the UK and Ireland including Asset managers, Wealth Managers, to promote MSCI’s suite of equity and fixed income indexes including Climate and ESG indexes, factor indexes, thematic indexes and custom index solutions
  • Manage a portfolio of existing client relationships acting as the face of MSCI to clients and handle day to day account management duties:
    • Grow and develop the accounts by undertaking thorough account planning and upselling new Index products
    • Promote the use of MSCI indexes across the different facets of the investment process including, but not limited to, performance measurement, fund creation, investment research and investment strategy development
    • Engage collaboratively and closely with clients on their key investment objectives such as climate investing, ESG investing, factor investing, and thematic investing, and position MSCI indexes accordingly to meet those needs and translate into new sales
    • Solicit client feedback on new initiatives and future product development
  • Manage and develop new sales and renewal pipeline to provide accurate sales forecast to senior management throughout the year
  • Be prepared to engage, on occasion, to resolve unlicensed client Index usage
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders at MSCI, including Research, Product Development, Legal and Coverage management
  • Drive new business development, new client wins and competitor displacement
  • Meet and exceed all sales goals, retention goals and soft goals

Your skills and experience that will help you excel:

  • Experience either working for or selling to UK and Ireland Asset Management and or Wealth managers
  • Familiarity with investment products and processes
  • Knowledge of the trends of the Globsl investment industry and interest in climate and ESG investing
  • A strong and quantifiable sales track record
  • Superior communication skills and ability to present on occasion to larger groups
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple demands/ projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Capable of working as part of a team and independently to reach team and individual targets respectively
  • Motivated by and able to thrive in a targeted sales environment
  • Desire to be part of a high growth company
  • MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency is a must and SalesForce familiarity preferable
  • Bachelor’s Degree
