Job Purpose:

  • The Index Marketing Lead will report to the Global Head of Product Marketing based in New York and will work closely with the other Index Marketing Leads based in London and Monterrey
  • He / She will be responsible for leading and driving innovation for Indexes, developing and communicating the vision and strategy effectively
  • This position plays a leadership role in driving growth for MSCI’s Index business

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop an Index Marketing Plan that aligns with the Operating Plan and work with stakeholders to ensure all deliverables and marketing programs are delivered on-time and on budget
  • Drive a 360 Marketing Approach to developing marketing programs that integrate the majority of marketing mediums, including digital marketing—social media, websites and e-marketing—advertising, PR and events, to support the priorities of the business
  • Develop and manage marketing programs to stimulate ongoing revenue growth and to support new Index launches / key events / partnerships and ensure all content is aligned with the value proposition and brand guidelines
  • Work with client-facing teams and subject-matter experts to create content that’s relevant, easy to understand and, importantly, conveys the benefit of our capabilities to the client, including web content, videos, sales presentations, factsheets and brochures and RFP responses
  • Produce and report meaningful metrics for the business and offer fact-based insights to help guide strategies for on-going marketing programs, including brand positioning, client retention and development, industry partnerships and cost-effective methods for attracting new businesses to the firmAdditional responsibilities may include:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of the financial marketplace and how it impacts the investment process. Knowledge of ETFs and Indexes would be a bonus
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) to executives and a variety of audiences, translating complex and sometimes contradictory themes and opinions to create unified, consistent messaging that effectively communicate the firm’s core values and goals
  • Ability to give concise, compelling verbal presentations to senior decision-makers, and to respond quickly and thoughtfully to challenges and pushback in a meeting.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent power point and excel skills
  • Ability to handle significant workload with excellent organizational skills, work well under pressure and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable and able to work in a changing environment
  • 7-10 years marketing communications experience, ideally within Financial Services
  • Degree in marketing and/or other marketing related professional qualifications, MBA or CIM
  • Confident self-starter with leadership qualities and ability to work in a matrix work environment and establish strong partnerships
  • Experience in engaging with clients and/or building client relationships at many different levels.
