Your Responsibilities:

  • Closely monitor markets and the competitive landscape and interface with clients/partners to identify needs and product opportunities
  • Represent Qontigo at investor and index conferences, client workshops, and industry working groups to ESG indices
  • Frequent and intense client interactions to position and define the Qontigo ESG Index products and services
  • Manage team of ESG Index designers product developers
  • Define and execute the ESG-index product strategy
  • Including product positioning and messaging globally
  • Establish near, medium and long term ESG product roadmap syndicated across all functions
  • Plan, coordinate and implement the required tasks needed to ensure launch of new ESG-indices in time and budget
  • Involved deeply in technical aspects of product design in collaboration with research and engineering
  • Ongoingly collect market and client feedback on products and convert them into proper lifecycle management decisions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with a background in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science is preferred
  • At least 5 years of financial market experience with ESG exposure for firms in investment management, investment banking, indexing, rating or research
  • Knowledge of ESG/SRI/Climate/Impact methodologies, data requirements and input sources
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, work in cross-functional and -divisional environments and be a team player as part of the product leadership group
  • Interaction skills with clients (externally) and senior management (internally). Can effectively influence others and gain their consensus when needed
  • Ability to handle steep learning curves. Comfortably dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Travel: 25-50%

  • Strong passion for ESG investing and empathy for revenue and growth
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational/functional boundaries and contribute to broader strategic agenda of the company
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build/retain client relationships and identify/provide comprehensive solutions for individual customer needs
  • Impeccable service ethic characterized by high energy, a positive attitude and the desire to go the “extra mile” for both external clients and teammates
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to personally lead critical client negotiations and relationships
  • Previous experience with global exposures, being able to operate across continents reflecting cultural differences and diverging priorities.
