OVERVIEW

ISS ESG solutions enable investors to develop and integrate responsible investing policies and practices, engage on responsible investment issues, and monitor portfolio company practices through screening solutions. It also provides climate data, analytics, and advisory services to help financial market participants understand, measure, and act on climate-related risks across all asset classes. In addition, ESG solutions cover corporate and country ESG research and ratings enabling its clients to identify material social and environmental risks and opportunities.

As part of the overall ESG Products team, the ESG Channel Partnerships team establishes and maintains relationships with leading third-party platforms and channels where institutional investors and academics are performing financial analysis, company research, portfolio management, and reporting decisions, based on ISS ESG’s market leading data and research.

We are looking to hire a Head of Channel Partnerships to drive our growing business and opportunities through strategic partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts
  • Coordinate with sales and business to identify and contract with potential channel partners, acting as point person and business lead on contract negotiation
  • Coordinate internal and external communication, marketing, and sales collateral
  • Coordinate data onboarding with Client Delivery, Development, Product and Legal
  • Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis
  • Manage potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements
  • Drive adoption of product sales among assigned partners
  • Hold regular meetings with and provide bi-weekly reporting to Sales, Business Leadership, Product and Marketing to provide updates, solicit feedback, and prioritize partners for engagement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years’ work experience with a minimum of 2-3 years of channel sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment (preferably in the financial industry)
  • Experience with ESG research and data is a plus
  • Strong project management/organizational/multi-tasking skills required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a cross-functional team
  • Willingness to travel (less than 20%)
  • Absolute personal and business integrity
  • Salesforce proficiency to create and run reports
  • Corporate Governance and ESG expertise
