Job purpose:
- Head of Canada, Invesco ETFs is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the ETF business in Canada.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategy and vision for Invesco ETFs & Indexed Strategies in Canada, ensuring alignment with broader global ETF strategy
- Oversee a team responsible for building a pipeline of new ideas and bringing new products to market, with the objective of establishing a diverse all-weather product line
- Manage and provide coaching to product strategists to support the commercialization of the overall product line, with the objective of supporting Sales to grow assets into existing products
- Evaluate opportunities and recommend strategic initiatives as they pertain to existing lines of business, new markets, implementation feasibility, revenue and profitability goals and strategic objectives
- Prepare analysis, business plan and recommendations regarding market/product opportunities for senior management
- Ensure efficient and effective execution against strategic goals while meeting financial targets for both revenue growth and cost containment
- Ensure internal communication strategies are effective and encourage cross-functional co-operation across the Canadian ETF business as well as Invesco more broadly
- Ensure on-going development of a market leading suite of Canadian ETFs, designed to meet Canada-based investor needs spanning retail and institutional channels
- Work with retail and institutional distribution and marketing heads to develop go-to-market strategies for ETFs
- Coordinate with Operations, Technology, Products and Portfolio Management to ensure proper oversight of critical third party vendors, including custodians, fund administrators, index providers, etc.
- Partner with control functions to ensure policies and procedures are appropriately embedded within ETF functions, and that exceptions are appropriately escalated and resolved.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 20+ years of working experience in financial services industry
- Strong knowledge and prior experience with ETFs required
- Experience managing a team of senior product and research professionals preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to coach and mentor staff effectively
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
- Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people’s opinions
- Ability to travel, when safe to do so.
