Job Purpose:

  • The Head of Americas SPDR Change Delivery is an advocate for change improvement across the SPDR ETF operating platform
  • In this role you will provide end-to-end project management to ensure all aspects of the operating platform and processes in support of the SPDR ETF product set are working effectively, efficiently and in-line with the needs of all stakeholders
  • This role will also be involved in the oversight of third party service providers
  • You will be responsible for the resolution of operational problems identified through a formal monitoring and governance program
  • In order to be successful, you will collaborate effectively with teams within the SPDR business, other internal partners across State Street and external third parties, as necessary

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leading the ongoing governance process of third-party service providers; including meetings, tracking, monitoring and reporting on critical metrics and strategic initiatives
  • Regularly review service delivery standards and driving efforts to resolve issues, improving the client experience through enhanced service delivery
  • Driving execution of assigned projects ensuring achievements through adherence to targets, budgets and deliverables in all phases
  • Planning, organizing and controlling the activities of cross-functional project teams
  • Creating and maintaining end-to-end plans to manage project timelines, scope, deliverables, resources, etc.
  • Coordinating overall project communications, risks and issues resolution, including communication with sponsors and management concerning project status and issues
  • Demonstrate understanding of the impact of problems across the organization and facilitates collaborative solutions
  • Working closely with your colleagues on the Americas SPDR Product and Capital Markets teams to understand/communicate any expected product changes. You will play a leading role to deliver the changes throughout the operating platform working with various constituents
  • You will develop business requirements for IT systems developments to support process changes as necessary. Manage and coordinate the IT development work as appropriate

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (MBA is a plus) with 5+ years of experience in either a project management or ETF related role within the asset management industry
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to run and effectively prioritize a number of short-,medium-, and long-term projects at a time
  • Ability to execute and lead projects to a successful conclusion
  • Ability to work reciprocally. A self-starter who approaches work enthusiastically and demonstrates initiative
  • Detailed subject matter expertise for all aspects of the ETF operational ecosystem a plus.
