As Global Head of SPDR ETF Strategy, Planning & Infrastructure you will own global oversight [across North America, EMEA and APAC] of the following activities:

1. ETF Strategy and Planning:

  • Annual Business Planning & Budgeting
  • Central point to develop, define and coordinate annual strategy planning analyses and process
  • Deliver and communicate SPDR Global Multi-Year Plan
  • Evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities
  • Develop new business targets by region, product, channels and accounts
  • Collaborate closely with finance and other SPDR EMG members to deliver Annual Operating Plan, periodic forecasts and monitor progress
  • Key Stakeholder Reporting
    • Track and report business progress with key stakeholders in various forums (Business and Regional Sales Quarterly Business Reviews, Investor Relations, Monthly Flow Analyses etc.).
    • Support the SPDR leadership with monthly reporting and analysis on the competitive net new asset performance of SPDR vs. the wider ETF universe
  • Sales Planning Activities [in strong partnership with regional Sales leadership]:
    • Support development of sales targets, business expansion and any changes to operating model, territory design
    • Oversee Global Distribution Partnership Center of Excellence: Evaluate, vet and onboard new partnerships with key distribution clients and monitor existing relationships to measure progress and effectiveness
    • Support the design of client segmentation, tiering, sales scorecard framework and productivity / ROI metrics
    • Deliver consultation and analytical support for regional sales initiatives
    • Monitor and report progress vs goals to key stakeholders [Sales QBRs]

2. Business Insights and Analytics:

  • Supply data and insights to support sales planning
  • Manage and deliver all client data and regular client reporting and insights
  • Deliver all regular and systematic distribution business reporting, including weekly/monthly regional/channel/country activity, holdings and flows based analytics
  • Build reporting enhancement roadmap of ongoing and future  enhancements to the suite of regular and systematic reporting
  • Manage end-to-end process for sourcing, importing, cleaning, combining and utilizing client holdings and transaction data, including relevant vendor management
  • Manage Salesforce business processes including rules-of-the-road definitions, prioritization of enhancement, end-user training, data cleaning, data hierarchies and all native/external reporting
  • Integrate data and insights from other Sales supporting tools, such as Marketo, Siesmic, digital to enhance insights available to distribution leadership

3. ETF product deliver and business controls:

  • Oversee SPDR ETF operational matters (e.g., NAV issue resolution, coordination and escalation, daily website update monitoring, third party vendor oversight, SLA monitoring)
  • Oversight of SPDR data and website projects and key initiatives
  • Coordinate RTO and IT enhancements
  • Serve as second line of defense for ETF business controls

4. SPDR Governance:

  • Manage and coordinate SPDR EMG bi-weekly agendas and periodic meetings
  • Develop quarterly business reporting across regions
  • Chair New Initiative Panel (NIP)

5. Other:

  • Act as principal liaison for SPDR business with State Street Global Services
  • Act as principal point of contact with internal Audit
  • Serve as member of senior risk and IT forums / committees

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of financial services experience with a large financial services firm or advisory/consulting firm including experience in finance, legal, business operations and/or strategy and planning
  • Bachelor’s degree required and a business focused Masters or other advanced degree preferred
