Job Purpose:
- We are seeking an experienced fixed income portfolio manager to join our team, managing a number of our Index Fixed Income portfolios and contributing to the development of the business
- The role would suit candidates seeking to work in a team based environment where ideas and questions are encouraged.
Your Responsibilities:
- Be fully responsible, as lead manager, for a number of fixed income index funds
- Take responsibility for the maintenance, operation and adherence to risk and compliance requirements of the funds
- Act as deputy manager for a further group of fixed income index funds
- Analyse and implement decisions on index changes and any resulting rebalancing of funds, cash flows and corporate actions
- Analyse portfolios for transfers and transition management
- Produce and deliver investment reports on the funds controlled, including reporting on tracking error and performance attribution
- Work with Senior Funds Managers to deliver consistency of service and contribute to continuous business process improvement
- Support distribution teams in promoting our fixed income index capabilities
- Build competence and experience in client servicing through working with client relationship managers (CRMs) and attending client and consultant meetings.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experienced in the management of fixed income funds, with detailed knowledge of fixed income, FX and exchange traded derivatives
- Experience in managing ETFs and Government bond funds desirable.
- A self-motivated and conscientious team player with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- IMC essential, CFA desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, VBA skills desirable, good knowledge of Bloomberg.
