Job Purpose: 

  • Reporting into the Global Head of Beta Middle Office, the successful candidate will be a driven and committed person who will play a key role in supporting the organization’s rapidly expanding Beta Strategies business.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the US Beta Middle Office Teams (based in NY and Delaware) to run the operational support required and to drive change to the operational environment
  • Understand the Beta Strategies business requirements, the various global operating models and identify where the team can add value
  • Work closely with the EMEA Head of Beta Middle Office for alignment of processes, roles and responsibilities across regions
  • Develop and maintain the end to end operating model for the Beta business across Operations and Technology with a strong focus on a well-controlled environment and scalability for future growth
  • Identify, own and drive process improvement projects for the Front Office, including managing/supporting projects
  • Support portfolio management teams in unique ETF roles and responsibilities including creation and redemption (primary market) activity
  • Ensure the accuracy of investment data used within the Front Office applications and problem solve any discrepancies
  • Act as a central point of contact for interactions with various stakeholders and partners in Operations, Technology and Client Services
  • Where appropriate, provide support for complex client operating models
  • Be proficient in understanding technology and data models within an asset management environment.

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • A proficient understanding of Beta and ETF Operations
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to lead teams in complex environments, including influencing varied stakeholders
  • Ability to own and manage concurrent assignments effectively and efficiently
  • Proven ability to problem solve and drive efficiency
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player and be adaptable to a changing environment
  • Ability to influence people, lead discussions and troubleshoot issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Relevant Degree qualification
  • An interest in and understanding of the inner workings of portfolio management, research and attribution systems.
