The Cash Equity sales support role sits within Execution Services Middle Office function. The role provides direct support to the EMEA Sales and Trading desks including Program Trading, High Touch, Direct Execution and Emerging Market Desks. The role requires a understanding of various cash equities, ETF’s and listed derivative products and markets. This unique opportunity provides direct exposure to Equities desks and allows for the individual to represent operations in a highly challenging and collaborative environment.

We’re looking for an Integrated Middle Office Specialist to:

• Ensure timely, and accurate, processing of allocation requests into client order management and booking systems.
• Work collaboratively with other UBS group and IB logistical functions including Finance, IT, Compliance, Credit Risk and COO function.
• Increase RFT (Right First Time) by continuously monitoring and improving the systemic and behavioural root causes across FO, IT, and Operations.
• Demonstrate sound understanding of business and client issues together with the ability to develop convincing ideas and solution to meet these needs.
• Ensure information is shared between team members whilst also demonstrating the ability to communicate concisely and convincingly to a wider audience including the business.
• Ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are of a high standard.
• Adhere to escalation procedures within IB operations.

The Cash Equity Middle Office team offers a fast paced, challenging work environment and requires someone who is highly responsive and possesses excellent communication skills. As the role requires direct contact with clients and senior desk heads from the Equities Business on a daily basis, the successful candidate will demonstrate the highest professional behaviour, drive and commitment, and quickly develop business and technical expertise.

Your expertise

• Ideally experienced in a similar operationa Middle Office support function, financial services background would be a plus.
• Core product knowledge in Equities, ranging from understanding stock bookings and their associated lifecycle events (corporate actions / takeover / mergers) to ETF’s and Convertible Bonds.
• Previous knowledge of Traiana Harmony, CTM and booking and confirmations process is desirable but not essential.
• Clear communicator and confident to speak to clients and face-off to COO’s and the business.
• Zero tolerance policy towards risk, ensuring all appropriate items are escalated to senior management as soon as possible.
• Knowledge of process automation and ability to review and improve processes a plus.
• Team player able to work with various divisions to achieve outcomes.
