Job purpose:

  • This position is an ideal opportunity for a self-starter looking to enter a company in its early-growth stages
  • The successful candidate must have experience with ETF distribution and sales in the above channels, a strong understanding of capital markets, portfolio analytics, and investment research
  • This position will report directly to the CEO and Senior Vice President of Syntax Advisors.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a business plan for each sales channel with the goal of driving ETF flows
  • Introduce potential clients to Stratified Weight ETFs through telephone conversations, web-based presentations, conference attendance, and in-person meetings (when it is safe to do so)
  • Promote Syntax ETFs to qualified prospects via outbound telephone efforts, email campaigns, and advertising/web-lead follow ups
  • Collaborate with the Syntax research and marketing team to develop client materials and insights using Stratified Weight data
  • Provide education to a wide range of clients and prospects on the Stratified Weight investment strategy
  • Develop and conduct presentations to highlight the benefits of Stratified Weight approach and Syntax ETFs
  • Respond to client inquiries relating to fund features and performance
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a client facing or business development role; demonstrated ability to think strategically, build strong relationships, and execute
  • Strong knowledge of and prior experience with ETFs required; experience with the Broker Deal and/or RIA sales channels preferred
  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required, MBA or CFA a plus
  • Series 7 & 63 preferred; must obtain within 3 months of hire
  • Detail oriented, works well in teams, receptive to feedback, and maintains integrity in every aspect of performance
  • Possess in-depth understanding of the ETF and investment products industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, and client-service strategies
  • Strong business judgement, self-motivated, and adaptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
