HANetf will be the first “White Label” (WL) provider of ETFs in Europe with a turnkey solution for asset managers to enter the ETF business. HANetf will provide all the main services needed to launch ETFs:

  • Product Development: structuring, authorisation, connection with service providers, listing, legal
  • Product Management: daily oversight of legal, compliance, operations, regulatory and exchange compliance, data dissemination
  • Capital Markets: Seeding, Authorised participants (APs), Market Makers, Exchanges and trading platforms
  • Distribution: cross border listings and sales, capital markets, market making, marketing & distribution

The HANetf team brings the depth of experience and specialism to deliver. HANetf clients will be drawn from traditional asset managers who haven’t entered the European ETF market and US & Asian ETF issuers who haven’t developed UCITS ETFs and entered Europe.

HANetf was founded by ETF Industry veterans Hector McNeil & Nik Bienkowski. Both were founders and owners of first ETF Securities & secondly Boost/WisdomTree Europe. The business has just successfully raised a significant sum of external capital in order to fund the business until it is profitable.

Job Purpose:

  • If you are keen to be a key member of an innovative company, then this is the role for you. You will have responsibility for driving sales; providing product expertise; and competitively positioning ETFs under the HAN ETF umbrella
  • The objective of the role is to increase the use of HAN ETF third party ETFs among professional investors across the countries he/she is covering, in order to increase our clients overall market share
  • The successful candidate will have experience in ETF sales; be a self-starter; team player, and be extremely determined
  • You will need to collaborate with colleagues in product development; research; marketing; and capital markets, to offer first-class service to clients. The role requires energy, and excellent communication skills
  • High level of autonomy & authority to manage client relationships and grow your book of business.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and contact advisors through phone calls and email, and develop referrals
  • Conduct meetings with clients
  • Represent firm at events and roadshows
  • Leading group presentations
  • Managing a quarterly business plan and opportunity pipeline
  • Managing clients from lead stage to sale closure
  • Presenting the intricacies and details of the ETF structure
  • Point of contact for German client base
  • Drive Net New Assets through executing a detailed client strategy to manage and build your book of existing and prospective clients

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least five years’ experience of successfully selling ETFs or similar investment products to target client base
  • Must have an existing book of business for the German Market
  • Must be willing to travel for client meetings and events in Germany
  • Fluency in German and English essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or another relevant subject
  • Deep knowledge of German Wealth & Institutional market, including key players and influencers
  • Existing client relationships in the German market
  • Strong track record of sales and client relationship management skills
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • In depth knowledge/understanding of financial markets and asset allocation
  • Strong selling skills and experience of managing client relationships
  • Experience in conducting group presentations and C level meetings
  • Experience co-ordinating events and roadshows with Marketing and other departments
  • Experience hitting KPIs and contributing positively to a firm’s revenues
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan
  • Experienced and comfortable positioning multiple asset classes
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A good problem solver and trouble-shooter with the ability to identify and analyse issues with the creativity and energy to solve them
  • Persuasive and articulate in presenting complex ideas simply
  • Ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Client relationships in Austria a bonus.
