Job Purpose: 

  • This role is responsible for strategic marketing plans, conceptualization through execution, that promote and support Nuveen’s Advisor-sold ETF business
  • Core duties include ETF launches and focus campaigns, managing and executing updates of existing marketing collateral, sales tools and web content
  • This individual will partner with internal teams to identify and outline plans for improving the efficiency of and focus on key marketing initiatives across the products line, and means to more effectively execute on those plans
  • They will also partner with product and channel marketers and others within the Nuveen distribution organization to ensure timely execution of projects that align with firm-wide campaigns, and help raise awareness of and meaningfully grow assets.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Execute comprehensive marketing plans and related activities surrounding new ETF product launches and ongoing systematic ETF campaigns including content strategy, creation, production and distribution through all marketing platforms (digital, print, advertising, etc.)
  • Take proactive role in driving communication with ETF product teams and channel marketing to ensure most effective and efficient marketing materials and distribution while looking for new ways to position and promote the products
  • Communicate ETF marketing strategies and initiatives with internal partners, including compilation and dissemination of regular distribution reports that display key metrics on ETF marketing initiatives as well as soliciting feedback and information for improvement
  • Collaborate with marketing verticals (example: advertising, PR, channel, digital, operations) to ensure proper alignment of resources against product initiatives
  • Work with compliance departments to ensure materials meet FINRA regulatory guidelines
  • Take initiative to explore new approaches to increase efficiency and improve processes without sacrificing creativity or quality
  • Monitor and report on literature usage, web traffic and campaign metrics and make recommendations for enhancements/changes to improve efficiencies and resource usage
  • Manage and execute periodic updates of marketing collateral and web content including brochures, sales ideas presentations, product and market commentaries, web pages and banner ads, fact cards, flyers, and other sales-support materials and content
  • Proofread all marketing content throughout the development and approval process to ensure it is accurate and compliant; create new content and copy-edit existing content when needed
  • Develop strong communication and working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Distribute new and updated materials to channel marketing and fulfillment.

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Minimum of seven years of marketing experience, preferably in the asset management or financial services industry
  • Strong marketing background; marketing performance optimization and relationship management experience
  • Background of success in marketing an ETF product line or brand
  • Proven self-starter able to successfully initiate and manage projects independently, with minimal direction and oversight
  • Recognized ability to lead the development and production of effective marketing communications programs
  • Experience crafting clear, compelling and compliant marketing messaging
  • Driven, goal-oriented individual seeking to make a measurable difference and improvements that will help advance corporate initiatives and grow platform assets
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects from beginning to end, providing effective, on-time delivery and implementation within budget guidelines
  • Series 7 a plus
  • Understanding of ETFs, advisor-sold preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills, internal and external
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel); InCopy and InDesign skills a plus
  • Working knowledge of investment industry concepts and SEC and FINRA regulatory requirements
  • 15-20% travel required.
