Job purpose:

  • Syntax is looking for a professional to aid in the growth of the company by working in a marketing operations and fund operations role
  • This position is an ideal opportunity for a self-starter looking to enter a company in its early-growth stage
  • The ideal candidate is one that is detail oriented and has prior experience working in fund marketing, sales, or compliance
  • This role will work closely with senior management at Syntax Advisors and will have the opportunity to gain experience across a wide variety of functions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Development, maintenance, and quality control of fact sheets and other marketing materials
  • Collaborating with research team for the creation of investor letters, research reports, and white papers with a focus on Syntax ETFs
  • Coordinating with website developers to manage Syntax website and oversight processes
  • Database and RFI/RFP oversight
  • Ongoing management of GIPS compliance policies and processes
  • CRM and marketing distribution
  • Social media strategy and implementation
  • Compliance liaison for marketing and sales, as well as policy review and drafting in connection with Syntax’s compliance policies and procedures
  • Regularly review operational processes and procedures; identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in financial marketing, institutional sales, client advisory, product development, or other relevant finance or compliance experienceother relevant finance or compliance experience
  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required, MBA or CFA a plus
  • Detail oriented, works well in teams, receptive to feedback, and maintains integrity in every aspect of performance
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate potential issues
  • Strong business judgement, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Actively seeks to remain knowledgeable of current regulatory environment and changes for investment managers and registered funds, including developing ways to prepare the firm to face such changes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with GIPS standards a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
