Job Purpose:

  • The ETF Investment Specialist role is specifically designed to help support the growing business from a distribution perspective as a subject matter expert.

Your Responsibilities:

Participate in sales and marketing efforts (40%)

  • Actively support sales team to help drive AUM and revenues by participating in client meetings, responding to client queries, running ad hoc analysis and providing solutions
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to proactively contribute to the overall growth of our business
  • Conduct training sessions for the sales team to educate them on the messaging, positioning of ETF range and new developments in the market
  • Carry out market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in the market
  • Continuously provide content related to our products to the marketing team

Contribute to development of ETF investment strategies (30%)

  • Originate ideas based on client feedback, market research and internal discussions
  • Help with researching, developing and maintaining investment strategies
  • Monitor the market and regulatory changes for new ETF opportunities
  • Forge new relationships with research houses and index providers to help lay the foundation for new index development
  • Proactively work with various teams (sales, legal, marketing, product, portfolio management, IT, data management and others) within the firm to complete projects and identify synergies
  • Contribute towards various tasks involved in the ETF launch process
  • Development of tools to assist management team to monitor and assess performance of business and products

Manage ETF marketing collateral (30%)

  • Maintain and evolve ETF collateral including pitch books, cheatsheets, earnings reports and peer monitors
  • Be willing to push boundaries by putting clients’ interest at the forefront
  • Prepare research and quantitative reports (ETF performance, risk metrics, attribution, subsector analysis, stock analysis etc)
  • Respond to sales requests
  • Actively contribute towards periodic reports and commentary that help clients remain up-to-date with our products.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Client facing experience pitching funds and/or structured products
  • Prior experience working with investment strategies and/or indices
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Advanced Excel user (some programming skills preferred)
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg preferred
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident communicator and public speaker
  • Fluency in one of the following languages: German, Italian, French and/or Spanish
  • An understanding of how ETFs work and are traded
  • An ability to bring fresh and innovative thinking to old processes and systems
  • An ability to analyse and contextualise macroeconomic content that is relevant to our range of ETFs using second-order thinking
  • An ability to produce, maintain and update sales collateral on a regular basis.
