The Internal Sales Desk Manager provides leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day management of our Internal Sales Desk (East), based in Boston, Massachusetts. This valued team member will drive revenue through the crafting and honing of best sales practices including sales penetration and engagement, product mastery, competitive positioning, presentation skills, closing techniques, sales development, and ensuring our team is on the leading edge of delivering the vast array of State Street Global Advisors’ resources and capabilities in the most meaningful and effective manner to our clients.

Great candidates for this role will exhibit an exemplary track record of success in personal sales results, team leadership and development, display keen insight into the changing landscape of the asset management industry, and demonstrate proficiency in marshalling and deploying resources in an efficient and effective manner.

The Internal Sales Desk Manager (East) will work closely with their peers (Internal Sales Desk Management: West) in addition to our Sales Channel Heads who lead distribution within Private Wealth Management, Advised Solutions, and Independent Wealth Management.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding track record of attracting, developing, managing, and promoting talent
  • Minimum 7+ years of investment industry experience
  • CFA and/or MBA strongly preferred
  • Current securities licenses (Series 7 and Series 63) required
  • Clean compliance and U4 record required
  • Demonstrated experience and success selling wide product set including ETFs and model portfolios
  • Expertise in asset management landscape and how to best address the today’s advisor’s challenges
  • Available for travel as needed (from 20-35%)
  • Excellent communications skills to concisely deliver sophisticated topics and information
  • Ability to work efficiently and influence internal and external partners
  • Positive attitude with a strong team orientation, and is enthusiastic to educate other team members and clients
