The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Capital Markets, the Equity ETF Capital Markets Specialist is responsible for maintaining relationships across the ETF support ecosystem, including market makers, authorized participants and exchanges focusing on equity ETFs. You will be responsible for the engagement with the broker dealer community, stock exchanges and platforms, as well as partnering internal teams for client service. The specialist is responsible for understanding the nuances of trading ETFs spanning all global equities and ensure an efficient trading ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead relationships with partners in the ETF capital markets ecosystem, including authorized participants, market makers, trading platforms and exchanges.
  • Develop partnerships and strengthen cross-collaboration across internal teams from portfolio management, trading, operations, investment solutions, and all other internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the broker dealer community to promote efficient primary and secondary market activity in Dimensional equity ETFs.
  • Provide ETF surveillance by monitoring day-to-day ETF market quality including volume, primary flows, premiums/discounts, short interest and borrow and identify trends.
  • Coordinate execution of key initiatives and projects within the ETF Capital Markets platform across functional groups.
  • Manage business processes and operational requirements for ETF Capital Markets platform
  • Manage relationships with vendors pursuant to pricing and trading data while and contributing to the build out of new tools and processes to monitor the ETFs and identify future capabilities.
  • Collaborate with investment teams, legal and compliance to create and maintain ETF rule policies and procedures and AP oversight.
  • Document key functions and best practices for Dimensional ETFs including the development/maintenance  of a comprehensive procedure manual.
  • Assist clients in achieving efficient execution when trading Dimensional ETFs. Provide education on ETF liquidity and effectively communicate specific trading strategies and associated costs.
  • Partner with the Investment Solutions Group and Global Client Group to respond to client inquiries related to ETFs.
  • Work with internal partners to create educational materials for ETFs.
  • Participate in client and industry events and conferences to promote ETFs.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, and a Masters or CFA is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of financial services experience, extensive ETF experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally; influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate and present to the organization and externally.
  • Ability to drive results and operate independently.
  • Experience with the broader global market ecosystem.
  • Strong technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.)
  • Limited travel (<25%).
