ETF Asset Management Senior Product Developer – HSBC Asset Management

HSBC Asset Management (“AM”) Product Group is responsible for the strategic and commercial development of AM Product manufacturing capabilities including Development, Management, Governance, Support and Mandate delivery across all Global Markets. We have a rare opportunity for an experienced individual to join the team as a ETF Senior Product Developer on a 12 months fixed term contract.
In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible for Product Development and Management projects for passive products including ETFs. This includes management of the passive products for HSBC’s ETFs and for funds in an ICAV umbrella.  Both product ranges are Irish domiciled UCITS.
  • Structuring and developing new funds
  • Making and amendments to existing funds as required
  • Ensuring HSBC AM governance and approvals process is followed for new fund launches & amendments to funds
  • Reviewing products with internal stakeholder teams and enabling sign off processes to be completed
  • Drafting papers for governance forums and presenting initiatives for approval
  • Developing business cases for new initiatives
  • Leading & coordinating projects with a high level of documentation requirements including establishment of new umbrellas or structural changes to existing umbrellas or funds
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Strong, demonstrable experience  in investment management and knowledge of investment strategies & techniques, asset classes and asset management products
  • Evidence of detailed knowledge and understanding of fund regulation and specifically: UCITS, SFDR & Mifid
  • Demonstrable experience in product development & regulation, coupled with managing fund documentation &/or fund legal documentation
  • Evidenced experience of working with stakeholders to meet regulatory filing obligations and timelines.
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Capacity to engage with various stakeholders and to coordinate complex projects
