Job purpose:

  • The role is to provide managerial expertise and support on ESG client engagement and investment initiatives in rapidly growing aspect of the ESG investment strategy by working alongside the Head of ESG Client Strategies EMEA and the Global ESG Team
  • To be a proactive advocate of Invesco’s ESG disciplined approach to investment stewardship policies, programs, and strategies with the aim of strengthening the message we deliver to clients, policy-makers, and stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of ESG Client strategies in the ESG work with institutional sales for ESG focused clients, working closely with ESG experts in the Global ESG team and across our investment centres
  • Contribute in compiling and enhancing presentation material and sales focus deliverables on ESG approach and themes
  • Ensure direct and unbiased feedback from clients to the Head of ESG Client Strategies EMEA and the Global ESG Team
  • Support the advisory role of the Global ESG team and the Head of ESG Client Strategies EMEA with Investment teams focused on generating value for our clients through improved articulation of ESG integration and engagement
  • Support and contribute to the work of the Head ESG Client Strategies with Product teams globally in the development of ESG product solutions across equities and fixed income
  • Lead internal dialogue with EMEA RFP teams and reporting teams and marketing teams on improving Invesco’s narrative on ESG in close collaboration with the Global ESG team including the Asia and North America regions
  • Support and contribute the work of the Head of ESG Client strategies EMEA and the Global ESG Team in the development of Invesco Climate initiatives and reporting, particularly in the execution of the annual TCFD and the other climate initiatives Invesco is endorsing
  • Produce ESG Thought Leadership publications
  • Promote transparency in investment and corporate stewardship
  • Overall support the work of the Global ESG team in various initiatives and development.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Around 5 years experience in ESG particularly within asset managers or asset owners in ESG investment/product or client facing roles
  • Ideally technical investment knowledge
  • Ideally knowledge of Climate change focus investment solutions and current Climate Change initiatives for asset managers
  • Ideal knowledge of institutional clients’ needs and requirements
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Academic qualification or professional certification in ESG related fields
  • Team player and enthusiast learner
  • Ability to liaise with those responsible for developing investment portfolios
  • Ability to act independently while fundamentally aligned with Invesco global positioning
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
