Global Markets is BNP Paribas’ capital markets business within the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB), delivering solutions across asset classes, and industry-leading services for clients including Institutionals, corporates, private banks and retail distribution networks.

BNP Paribas CIB’s Global Equities Derivatives (EQD) division offers equity derivatives products, indices and funds, as well as financing solutions and an integrated equity brokerage platform. With the development of our listed derivatives around the world, it is an imperative to develop our distribution capabilities to investors on ETF. As part of a major strategic alliance between BNPPand a Global Asset Manager, our division needs to beef up all the aspects of a comprehensive ETF servicing.

Job Purpose:

  • As a Sales-Trader in this transversal position, you will be responsible for trading and providing backup support to all the Equities Flow & ETF sales teams on all mandates

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supporting some Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients (Dealing desks, Asset Managers and Prop desks) on Volatility, Delta1 and ETF.
  • Quoting prices and executing client business across a range of equity derivatives
  • Trading Swaps, ETFs, options, variance swaps and dividends
  • Assisting the desk with the on-boarding process
  • Trade booking and confirmations
  • Client reverse inquiries
  • Post trades issues
  • Compiling and disseminating market research and trade ideas

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) with an excellent academic and professional record
  • Relevant experience in front office / research, preferably with exposure to Equities and/or Hedge Funds.
  • Familiar with the booking and control systems (Winsales, Swapswire, Fish, Credit risk and IM approvals)
  • Familiar with the products (all the range of equity products)
  • FCA registered
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation
  • Fluent and excellent spoken (and written) English & other language
